Seven miles north of Boston lies the 2,500 acre Middlesex Fells Reservation. A short hike beyond the popular dogwalking grounds of Sheepfold Meadow leads to the Bear Hill Observation Tower, constructed in 1910 for no discernible purpose. It is, however, an ideal spot for photography. Not to mention graffiti.

I construct things for no discernible purpose all the time. It's nice to know that I'm part of a tradition.
